Herald Sun - Jason Stan and Johnny Knoxville, Drinking Hazard.

PROFESSIONAL Jackass Johnny Knoxville hit the town in a very big way after his Rove live appearance on Tuesday night. The married father of one and Dukes of Hazard star made headlines in Sydney after going on a 36-hour drinking binge this week. And it seemed his behaviour had not eased when he arrived in Melbourne.

An Eye reader saw Knoxville and his new buddy, Aussie songwriter Jason Stan, at one of Melbourne's most exclusive night spots, the reservation-only Sixteen Ellis St in South Yarra. The following morning he was seen outside Crown Towers parting ways with a very attractive young brunette. As his people shepherded him into a waiting 4WD, he was overheard saying to the woman: "See you, now go and get some sleep."

Knoxville's partying kicked off at the South Yarra venue, which looks like an old garage in a dark laneway, but once visitors have dropped the magic password, they enter a majestic room complete with a jazz band, candles and red velvet. The Eye reader, who described the whole night as surreal, managed to follow the star into the bar and shoot this picture (right) over hearing two beautiful young girls say the password, "mashed potato", at the door.

We're not too sure how well Knoxville knows Stan, but it does seem like a strange friendship given Knoxville has been in the country only a few days. Stan featured in The Eye a couple of months back when he launched his My Name is Schapelle CD. We told you how he didn't have much luck donating his 95c from the $4.95 coverprice to Schapelle Corby after her family refused to accept donations.
